more on zincs...

ran into steve from sea wolf a few days ago in the parking lot. he was here to check on los borrachos and some other boat on d dock. we talked about having my right tumb in a brace and he emphasized bc he gets pains from cleaning boat hulls. anyway, when he was done, he said the zinc on the prop shaft was down to justa little remnant ring of zinc and the one on the rudder was still ok. he rembered i had a credit left. i gave him no payment, bc of previous credit. he should be back by mid december to change out the shaft zinc and the rudder zinc. wait, what of i just have larger zincs put on? hmmmm

sea wolf marine services did zinc on 5/26/11 and said there was the slightest ring of previous zinc still in place. i had that previous zince put on on 1/6/11, so zincs on prop shaft lasted 4 months and 3 weeks. the zincs on the rudder were still in good shape steve said. he belived they would last a year or more. so check those in aug, b/c that will be 1 year. there were new zincs put on when i pulled it on purchase day. i paid steve 66 for the tow zinc jobs. i believe i had already mailed him a check for 33, for 1/6 job, so if check monitor account to see if i have a credit.
